About RISE
RISE is committed to creating a safe(r) space where Carleton students from all racial, ethnic, cultural, and international identities can feel embraced and supported. Throughout the year, RISE hosts a series of exciting events that celebrate the richness of international diversity and explore the beauty of multiculturalism within the Carleton community.
RISE is a welcoming hub for racialized and international students at Carleton, dedicated to celebrating the vibrant diversity that enriches our campus community. Through our signature series, Mosaic, we showcase global cultures, cuisines, and traditions shared by our peers, creating a space where everyone can learn, connect, and feel seen.
We also proudly lead Black History Month ceremonies that honour Black excellence, history, and creativity, inviting all Ravens to celebrate and learn together. Beyond these major events, RISE hosts engaging workshops, socials, and seminars designed to uplift, empower, and support students from all backgrounds in a fun and inclusive environment.
