Mawandoseg

Our mission is to create a safe(r) space where Indigenous students can feel valued, heard, and celebrated.

The Mawandoseg Centre aims to be a safe(r) space for Indigenous students at Carleton and works to address the specific needs of the various Indigenous communities in and around the university. The Centre is also the leading point of contact for non-Indigenous students looking to connect and learn more about Indigenous cultures and histories.

For more information, visit our Linktree at https://linktr.ee/mawandoseg

Programs at the Mawandoseg include:

  • Indigenous speaker events
  • Resources for Indigenous students and information about issues, cultures, and histories for non-Indigenous students
  • Panels and workshops regarding issues such as the environment, sexuality, mental health, and more

Volunteer with us! Mawandoseg is always accepting volunteers to help us run events, distribute resources, and provide peer support. Want to get involved? Fill out the volunteer application to get started.
